Security at Jiminy

Built to see less.

Jiminy guides people through fixes with their phone camera. We collect as little as possible, delete it quickly, and store it in your region.

What we collect

As little as possible

A guided fix needs no account, no name, and no email.

How long we keep it

30 days

Our copies delete automatically after 30 days.

Where it lives

Your region

The US, UK, or EU, depending on your agreement.

The two paths

How your data flows

A guide needs as little as possible: no account, no name, no email. The recording is used only to find the product and guide the steps.

If someone asks for human support, we take their name, email, and problem description, and deliver it into your help desk. The session video and images go with it only if the person opts in.

Infrastructure

Hosting

Jiminy runs on Google Cloud. What we store for you goes into private buckets. Data is encrypted in transit with TLS, and encrypted at rest.

Google Cloud

Data residency

Where we store your data depends on your agreement: the US, UK, or EU, on Google Cloud.

AI processing

Guide video is processed by our AI harness, which uses the providers listed under sub-processors. Storage of your data stays in your region. Operational records and logs may be stored in other regions or kept for different periods when needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Controls

A secure platform

Access control

Customer data is private. Access is limited to authorized people and systems that need it to operate or support Jiminy.

Encryption

Data is encrypted in transit with TLS, and encrypted at rest.

Separate customer access

Guide and integration requests are tied to one customer and installation. Requests with missing or mismatched identity are rejected.

Credentials

API keys and integration credentials stay on the server and are not exposed to guide users.

Monitoring and response

We log service activity and errors, investigate security incidents, and notify affected customers within 72 hours of becoming aware of one.

Secure development

Changes are reviewed and tested before release, including the paths that handle customer data and integrations.

Partners

Sub-processors

Cloud infrastructure

We host on Google Cloud. The storage region for an account is set in its agreement.

AI processing

Depending on your agreement, Jiminy may use Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, NVIDIA, or other providers for AI processing. We configure these providers so customer data is not used to train or improve AI models for other customers.

Your help desk

A help-desk provider is used only when the customer enables that integration. Escalations go into the customer's own help desk instance.

  • Google
  • OpenAI
  • Anthropic
  • Zendesk
  • Intercom
  • Salesforce

Your agreement names the definitive providers and integrations used for your account.
